Carling Cup Review:Portsmouth 0 Chelsea 4 | Anelka, JC, Pls read This

September 25, 2008 · Leave a Comment

there wasn’t any coverage in my area, so what i’m writing is just what i’ve read, presumed and imagined from news reports. basically, we had a walk a in the park. 4-0 against Portsmouth, a team that had shown much promise during pre-season, (of course, we wallaoped them 4-0 in the opening BPL fixture as well) is amazing.

Lamps scored, twice. the first a penalty which sent Big Ol’ Calamity James flying the wrong way, and the second was pretty comical, based on reports. it seemed that the ball rebounded against Super Frank and trickled into the net. still its 2 goals for Lamps and this is going to be a great season for him. Ppl say midfielders get better the older the become, and looking at how things are, i say its darn true. Boy am I glad we managed to keep him.

Malouda scored as well. it seems that this bloke is really on his way to being rejuvenated. a constant figure in TSSO’s plans meant that he’s slowly but surely regaining his confidence and playing like how the old Malouda was at Lyon. thats 2 goals in a week for Malouda and i’ve put my hat down for the lad. he was one of those i expected to be cleared out come this season but he’s really tried hard and is beginning to show his worth.

And, King Salomon scores again. I’ve always thought that Kalou should be given more than just a bench role, and be selected ahead of Anelka or Joe Cole, and tonight he showed why. provided a brilliant assist and grab a goal himself, which makes 2 in 2. TSSO really needs to give this boy more games. he’s showing us what he can do, unlike Anelka. and yes Anelka if you’re reading this, buck up!

besides that, other good news was that Ivanovic finnally plays!! the Invisible Serb, signed for 9m in January by Sulky Grant replaced Bosingwa at rightback and perform superbly. he’s not a very attack minded fullback like Bosingwa and doesn’t perform those marauding runs down the right flank, but he’s a composed no nonsense hard tackling defender, a typical eastern european type, strong and tough. i guess 9m wasn’t too much, and it was a good thing Mr. Kenyon blocked his move to Milan. with Ivanovic finnally showing what he’s capable of superbly, i predict that its the end of Paolo Ferreira’s Blue career, no hard feelings.

and it was real encouraging to see that the bench consisted of young players like Michael Mancienne and Miroslav Stoch. even if they’re not playing, getting used to the atmosphere and TSSO’s lessons are good enough. it shows that we are a team that does focus on youth growth and not just mney splashing club.

More good news to follow was that Mineiro has officially signed for us. I don’t know much about him, but he’s Brazillian and TSSO has faith in Brazillians so i guess he’ll be good signing. he should be able to provide good cover in the middle of the park for us now that Deco is confirmed to be out for at least a month.

OH!! and before i forget, Man Citeh lost!!! to Brighton!!! on penalties!!! guess Robinho and a wad of Arabian moolah doesn’t change much huh.

Next up, Stoke City!

Chelsea 1 Manure 1|Ferdinand and Red Scum Might face FA sanction

September 22, 2008 · Leave a Comment

yeap, a draw. i predicted a win, expected a win, but in reality I can’t say i’m very disappointed. we were damn lucky to be bailed out by an exquisite goal by King Kalou. we were unlucky to have Deco missed out on the game after picking up a knock during the warm ups and a half fit Ballack was forced to replace him. furthermore, we lost Ricky Carvalho after just 12 minutes.

even then we were pretty sluggish in the opening minutes and the damn red scum took full advantage by scoring a damn bloody lucky goal through Park Ji-sung. And after that, just like how they did against the Scouse, they basically parked their asses in front of the goal and defended. If you’re a Manure fan and if you do read this, i bet you’ll be pissed. but, do I care?

for me, the players did fine, except a couple, namely Joe Cole, Anelka and John Terry. JC was plain bad yesterday. sure he had the moves, but his finishing and crossing were simply apalling. i mean, he missed two bloody one on one situations after being put through superbly. Anelka, what can i say bout this bloke. its obvious that he’s not meant for the big team and the big occasions. he tries hard yes, but its simply not enough. he wastes too many opportunities and gets into wrong positions all the time. TSSO should consider benching him since the Drog is back from injury already. JC should be benched too. he’s getting inconsistent now that the starting slot’s virtually his. drop him for a few games and let the likes of Kalou or di Santo get more playing time.

JT, bad day at the office perhaps? he was shaky at the back and constantly asking for trouble. maybe the red card shouldn’t have been rescinded in the first place. that way we’ll get to see Alex and Ivanovic in action at least. i pity the lad, he hadn’t even made his official debut after 9 months.

but on a brighter note, Mikel was absolutely brilliant. he’s earning his keep well and slowly but surely ensuring that the holding midfield role is his. or is it holding attacking midfielder? And TSSO did praise him. according to TSSO, Mikel was everywhere, left right front and back. he did a brilliant job shielding the back four and broke up attacking plays with ease. and that freekick which resulted in Kalou scoring was simply beautiful. for me, he was the MOM.

Drogba playing was also a pleasent sight. although he did not contribute much, it was obviously his presence meant much to the team and during the second half we played with more spirit, hunger and precision. i’m hoping that TSSO will finally realise that Drog is the man to lead our attack and not Anelka, althouth Anelka did perform slightly better when pushed out onto the wings to accomodate the Drog.

The Good

1. The brillint Alex. he played as if Ricky’s injury did not mean much. and that was a superd block against Fletcher late in the second half.

2. Ashley Cole’s revival. he’s back, he’s finally back. he attacked well, defended well and made sure Horse Face Ronaldo did not venture down our left hand side. unfortunately for Horse face, Bosingwa was playing equally well too.

3. Mikel. i’ve praised him already, so nuff said. the lad’s a brilliant player.

4. Kalou scoring. now maybe TSSO will consider playing him more and he’ll rethink his decision to quit on us.

5. Red Scum getting 7 players booked.

6. Berbatov already showing his 30mil flop potential

7. Horse face getting tackled hard by Ashley Cole and earning a yellow after failing a tackle

The Bad

1. Ricky and Deco getting crocked up.

2. Mike Riley. after the idiot of Mark Halsey, we got Riley, simply perfect. that wimpering ref simply had no guts whatsoever to make the right decision. first, the very genuine Malouda penalty claim and second, by buckling under intense red scum pressure and ending the match when there was still 30 seconds left and a possible freekick at the edge of the area.

3. Cech. never really the same man after that injury and today’s performance shows it.

4. JC and Anelka. they were simply crap yesterday.

5. Horse face back to his usual con-man trickery. bloody wanker.

On a side note, Ferdinand and the red scum might face charges from the FA for failing to respect the ref. Ferdinand himself facing separate charges. thats good news for us and all other anti red scum supporters. this. this just shows that it is the Red scum who are the direspectful bunch and not the Blues. eat that world and Ferge.

Preview: Chelsea Vs Man Utd

September 21, 2008 · Leave a Comment

I love it when the day I resume writing this blog, I get to give a preview of sorts for the Chelsea and Manure game. basically, its not really a preview since I’m hellbent on being bias, but anyways I figured it’ll be fun to insult Manure more seeing their form has been outright poor this season.

the last time we played the red scum, it ended into a streetfight with Evra and and one of our stewarts going for each other’s throats. we still won though, but it wasn’t enough to carry us on towards the title.

this time round, we are much more prepared and we have an awesome manager in the form of Luiz Felipe Scolari, or TSSO( The Super Special One), Deco who has been simply brilliant, playing together with Lamps in the middle of the park as if they’ve been playing together for years, and we also have Bosingwa. this lad’s gradually becoming one of favs at The Bridge. he’s attacking runs gives us an added dimension and yet he doesn’t shirk defensive duties, oh, and apparently he was snatched from under the nose of Manure, in the face.

last season, we started badly after the fallout with Mourinho and then sulky Grant’s takeover. this time round, we’re in superb form. i mean how can we not be in good form when supposedly hopeless players like Malouda and Anelka dish out good all rounded performances and score goals. besides, its 2 goals back to back for Anelka, thats gotta count for something. and John Obi Mikel is simply birlliant. forget Makelele, its Mikel’s turn to shine.

for this game, i think TSSO will stick to Anelka and Malouda starting despite Drogba and Ballack returning to fitness. he isn’t like Claudio ‘Tinkerman’ Ranieri, and I believe he will stick to his winning formula until something unexpected happens. but, with that said, i’ve got a feeling he might take out Malouda and put Drogba in since Vidic is out suspended. The Drog’s presence will intimidate Manure’s most possible center defensive pairing of Wes Brown and Ferdinand. and that means Lamps and Anelka will enjoy the space given to score. Perfect.

Mikel will definitely keep his place since it has been shown that all our best games this season so far have Mikel on the pitch. Our back four have also been good, in particular Ricky Carvalho, the English Portugese. that bloke just can’t resist to jump in for a tackle. and we will have our Captain JT to lead us out after the FA rightfully overturn a horrendous and stupid red card decision by Mark Halsey.

Enjoy division 2 Mr Halsey.

On the other hand, the red scum have been really looking unsteady and poor in form. their 30mil purchase of Berbatov is looking to be the worst transfer this season, and with no Vidic in their backline, i daresay they’re doomed. Gay Horse Face @ Cristine Ronaldo is back, but i doubt he’ll make an impact. 2 factors mitigate this, he was rushed back from injury and secondly, our fullbacks are in their form of their life. and if Van der Sar played like how he did against the Scouse, odds are definitely looking good.

Of course, i gotta add, never underestimate the opponents. Manure have a famed volleyball player among them, namely Scholes. apparently his volleyballed goal was even compared to Maradona’s hand of god. so, yea, we should be aware of that.

Predictions

there’s not much to predict actually. its pretty much straightforward. We will roll the red scum over with a 3-1 victory.

Blues Forever!
